APMA Advocacy Drives PRF Reporting Portal Reopening—April 22 Reporting Request Deadline
APMA is very pleased to announce that the HRSA has re-opened the Provider Relief Fund Reporting Portal for PRF recipients who were unable to report during Reporting Period 1 or 2 because of extenuating circumstances. HRSA took this action after hearing from APMA and other member associations, whose members expressed serious concerns about the Period 1 funding they received being recouped despite good faith intents to report and the impact it would have on their practices.

APMA is aware of an abstract presented at the 2021 meeting of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, which compares outcomes of surgery performed by podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons. While the abstract of this study was published in Foot and Ankle Orthopaedics, the paper in its entirety has not been published, nor to our knowledge has it been accepted for publication by a peer-reviewed journal. It has also been pulled from presentation at future meetings due to problems with the study.
